Help Ministries provides ministry assistance to independent Bible and Baptist churches, and church related ministries.

Construction Services

Purpose

To provide light construction, general maintenance, repairs, project management and related services.

Opportunities

This is an opportunity for churches and ministries to request assistance for construction projects and for volunteers to use their skills in helping with the projects.

The following are examples of ministry projects you can be involved in:

Light Construction: Helping with various building needs. This can be done locally or on mission trips.

General Maintenance: Assisting in repairs and maintenance on buildings and save money that can be put towards other ministries.

Handyman Ministry: Helping people in need with house-hold repairs and small remodeling projects.

Disaster Projects: Sending a team to rebuild and repair property damaged by a disaster. Needs exist up to 3 years after the initial disaster event.

Legacy Ministry: Repairing homes of retired pastors, Christian works and/or their widows on fixed incomes who need assistance.


Project Requirements

·         A copy of the minutes stating board approval with an official letter requesting assistance.

·         Acquisition of required permits and submitted copies.

·         Provision of all materials for the project.

·         Provide parking facilities and utilities at the job site.

·         Certificate of insurance.

Project Application

This service is provided to those whose beliefs are consistent with our
doctrinal statement and meet our screening criteria.

All projects are evaluated and selected at the sole discretion of Help Ministries.

Volunteer Skills Needed

Skills are needed in construction management, carpentry, electrical, plumbing/HVAC, painting, roofing, ceilings, foundations, grading, sheet rock, tile work, bricklaying, mechanical, flooring, landscaping, cleanup, other specialty skills and general help.

Volunteer Qualifications

Volunteers are those who serve without compensation for the duration of the project, depending upon the need and their availability for service. They are responsible for all their expenses and personal needs that are not otherwise provided.

·         Persons' must be 18 and older (single, married, widowed or retired).

·         Depending by faith on Jesus Christ alone for eternity in heaven and acknowledging
Him as their Lord and Savior.

·         Be in good standing with your church.

·         Be of a good report with others.

·         Willing to serve, dependability, adaptability, flexibility, and caring for others.

·         Loving even in uncomfortable or less than ideal situations.

·         Experience and ability for the specific ministry need.

·         Previous experience and training are not always prerequisites for service. Openings for general assistance are available where tasks can be learned upon arrival.

This service is provided to those whose beliefs are consistent with our
doctrinal statement and meet our screening criteria.

Please read this Release and Waiver of Liability thoroughly. If your application is accepted, you will be required to sign a copy of this form. Failure or refusal to do so will result in your disqualification from participating in the project.
